Here in NetBet casino, you can play thousands of exciting games. We’re not just talking about slots, which are well and truly entertaining. Every great online casino will have a variety of games on offer, including luck and skill-based table and card games which we’ll feature right here!
What is Craps?
Craps is one of those casino games that you see being played in movies, but you rarely see in online casinos. That doesn’t make it any less exciting. Just like blackjack or roulette, it has its own fanbase, carving out a special niche in dice games territory. While it’s mostly popular on casino floors, it has enjoyed a renaissance online as well.
What makes it so fantastic is the excitement of the come-out roll and the fact that it can pay a fortune. Not right away, though – you’ll need to learn the rules first. While playing the game is a matter of luck, you do need a few tries for free before hitting the best craps variants for real money.
How to Play Craps Online
Take a look at the craps table and you’ll see that it’s more than just numbers and dice. There are many fields on the table that look confusing, but you should know that the game has an easy learning curve. What you first need to do is find a reputable casino, like the one we have here at NetBet. You’re then welcome to register and find craps in our rich game library which you can play for free and real money.
The action in craps begins with a bet and the come-out roll. That’s the first roll of the dice that comes after the betting round. The player who rolls the dice is called the Shooter, and all the bets are directly related to his rolls.
When playing online, you click on the Roll (or Play) button to let the dice fly. One of three outcomes will then happen:
- Natural: shooting a roll of 7 or 11 on the first try which results in a win and another roll
- Craps: shooting a 2, 3, or 12 which is a loss
- Point: shooting 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, which then establishes a point. A new roll follows – if the player hits the same number, it’s a win. If he doesn’t you lose
Craps Bets
If you look at the craps table you’ll instantly sport the Pass/Don’t Pass and Come/Don’t Come fields.
- Pass/Don’t Pass: betting on Pass means you’re putting your money on the Shooter to roll a natural or win the point before seven-ing out. Don’t Pass is a bet that the Shooter will roll a 2, 3, or 12, or fail to roll the point after it’s established.
- Come/Don’t Come: these bets are live only when the point has been established. The Come bet wins only if the Shooter rolls a natural. If he rolls a point, it becomes Come-Bet, following the rules of a Pass bet. If you put your money on Don’t Come, the Shooter should roll a 2 or 3 to win. Rolling a natural or 11 is a loss, while rolling a 12 results in a push where you get your stake back.
Besides the main bets there are a few props and side bets which pay amazing sums of money. Of course, the downside is that they’re very risky, so it’s best to learn the rules and stick to the original bets.
